Method 1: Google Translate (Quickest)

- Go to https://translate.google.com/
- Select the documents tab, and click "Browse Your Computer" to select the file to translate (File can be MS Word, PDF, etc.)
- Use the dropdowns to select source and output languages.
- Click "translate." Depending on the file size, it can take up to a minute.
- When it's finished, click "download translation."
Sometimes, Google Translate doesn't work. In that case, try methods 2 or 3 (below).
Method 2: Adobe Acrobat Pro + MS Word
- Open the pdf in Acrobat Pro.
- Export the article as an MS Word file.
- Open the MS Word file in MS Word.
- In MS Word, click on the "review" tab, then click "translate."

MS Word will create a new doc with the translated text.
Method 3: Adobe Acrobat Reader + MS Word
- Open the pdf in Acrobat.
- Use command (or ctrl) A to select all of the text. Use command (or ctrl) C to copy it.
- Open a new doc in MS Word.
- Paste the text. (Unfortunately, the formatting will be a wreck.)
- In MS Word, click on the "review" tab, then click "translate."
MS word will create a new doc with the translated text. You may need to compare it to the original text to understand where there are headings, etc.
