EBSCO asks for your consent so that you can use a personal account within EBSCO databases. You will be prompted to review the Personal Data Collection and Usage consent form the first time you connect through Boston College. A personal user account allows you to save articles, searches, and citations for easy referral later on.
The options on the consent form look something like this:
If you agree, the account that is created only uses an anonymous ID and does not require your name or email address.
We recommend that you choose YES, if asked, because no personal data is sent to EBSCO, only an anonymous ID.
