For updates on accessing Burns Library during COVID-19, see the Burns Library website for the latest details.

A variety of newspapers from both student and administrative viewpoints can be found in the Boston College Archives. Many can also be found online.

Newspapers.bc.edu includes student publications:

  • Stylus (1883-1922),
  • Heights (1919-2015),
  • 885 (a student newspaper of Newton College of the Sacred Heart, a Catholic women's college in operation from 1946-1975 when it merged with Boston College), and
  • Collage (Boston College’s first minority student newspaper, which ran from 1977-1979, focusing on the needs and experiences of Black students and other minorities).

Other online titles can be found through the Internet Archive, including Boston College alumni magazines.

Publications that are not online may be requested at the Burns Library.
