In O'Neill Library, current periodicals (journals, magazines, and newspapers) can be found on the main level (3rd Floor) near the printing/tech help area. Newspapers are arranged alphabetically by title. Magazines and journals are arranged by Library of Congress call number.

They are kept there for up to a year, depending on frequency of publication. After that, journals are bound and moved into the stacks. Smaller collections of current periodicals are in other BC libraries.

A smaller selection of especially popular magazines and newspapers can be found on O'Neill Library level 3, in a rotating rack near the windows overlooking Maloney Hall. That rack includes:

  • Billboard
  • The Boston Globe
  • The Boston Herald
  • The Economist
  • Interview
  • The Nation
  • National Review
  • Newsweek
  • The New Yorker
  • The New York Times
  • Rolling Stone
  • Science
  • Sports Illustrated
  • Time
  • The Wall Street Journal
