For updates on accessing Burns Library during COVID-19, see the Burns Library website for the latest details.

Some historic photographs of Boston College have been digitized and are available online. Both the Boston College yearbooks and the Newton College of the Sacred Heart (a women's college which merged with BC in 1974) yearbooks are available online and have historic photographs of events on campus. For old issues of the college newspapers, see Boston College Newspapers to search or browse papers by date.

Many photographs of Boston College are not available online. For a full list of photographs, check the finding aid (an inventory of collection contents, located under Links in the catalog record) for a photographic collection. If a photograph is available online, there will also be a link in the finding aid. You can schedule a date to see the photographs in the Burns Library Reading Room by using the "Schedule visit to use in Burns Library" link in the catalog record for each collection.
