According to the BC Fact Book, BC Libraries has holdings of 46,639 journals, magazines, and newspapers -- a category known as "periodicals" or "serials" by librarians. About 43,000 of these are electronic subscriptions.

You can search journal titles in the catalog: just enter the title in a search bar and select "Journals/Serials" in the "Material Type" drop-down menu.

You can also search the catalog for articles, but be aware that the catalog does not index all of our serials holdings. To do a thorough search, use any of our over 800 databases.

Not sure which database to use? Consult a research guide about the the subject or contact a librarian.

Need an article in a journal we don't subscribe to? Order the article via Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and get it within a few days electronically.
