O'Neill Library has over 1,000 seats available throughout the building at tables, individual carrels, lounge chairs, group study rooms and classrooms. The 5th floor (aside from the study area) and half of the 4th floor are reserved for quiet study.

Bapst Art Library offers approximately 400 quiet study spaces in a combination of individual carrels and tables.

The Education Resource Center, Social Work Library and the Theology and Ministry Library have open study space as well.

24/7 hours begin near the end of each Fall and Spring term in both O'Neill Library and Bapst Library's Gargan Hall.

The Law Library is reserved for Law School students, and the Burns Library is reserved for researchers using the collections. While both of these libraries welcome visitors for research purposes, general studying is restricted.
